Why become a member...

  • Provides community information – Chamber members are included in publications and distribution designed to promote members in our annual events.

  • Gift Certificate Program – Your gift certificate program gets some $14,000 out in the community to be spent in our Chamber member businesses.

    Directories – Directories at the village office provide not only a membership directory, but also various lists of members for different focuses, club and organizations, churches, and tourism.

    Member plaques – All members receive a membership plaque and renewal plates.

Public Relations – Our office is an information center at the village offices for both members and the community.

Referral Service – Chamber members are referred when a request for goods or services are received at the village offices.

Cooperative Efforts – Chamber cooperates with other local and area entities to make Coldwater the best place to live and work.

Business After Hours – Members are encouraged to host or sponsor a Business After Hours where members and invited guests can network and socialize.

Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Savings – Through the Alliance of Ohio Chambers, as a member of the Chamber you are eligible for discounted health, dental, vision, workers compensation, Rx Card, and fee-waived “Full” Section 125 rates. We are eligible for plans from both Alliance of Chambers web site and Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance web site.  There are two local Coldwater Chamber insurance brokers that can discuss these benefits:  Heritage Insurance  and Knapschaefer Insurance.

Standard Bulk Postage Permit - Requirements for use is a mailing of at least 200 non-personal pieces to the 45*** zip code.  (Please Note: If pieces are individually signed, they are considered personal in nature as well as any other type of mail that you would have any type of handwritten note.  All 200 pcs have to be identical in size and nature.  The envelopes must be typed.) Rubber stamp is at the village office, please sign it out and return within 48 hours.  You may stamp or print the image of the stamp onto the envelope or mailer. 
Once your mailing is prepared, you will need to:
    
• Presort by zip code (only if there are more than 200 pcs to each zip code.)
     • Place mailers in a postal tray (available from the post office)
     • Complete Form # 3602-EZ (Click here to download)
You will then take the mailers (in the tray at the post office), the form, and a check for postage to the Coldwater Post Office.  Rate varies: letter size is .256.
The use of the bulk permit cannot be used for personal mail.

Chamber Web site and email communication – The chamber’s web site is constantly being updated with the latest information. The site includes information about our scholarship, all community event and seminars, member listings including their phone number, email, and web address, along with gift certificate participation.  We encourage our members to provide us with their special events to be included in our site.

Chamber Meetings – Offices and Trustees meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at the Village of Coldwater meeting room.  All members are welcome!  We also have our Annual Banquet and several social gatherings throughout the year.

Special Events – Ribbon cuttings, professional seminars, Lemonade Stand, Putt Putt Golf Tournament, Bi-Annual Business Expo, and the Chamber offers members and the community a variety of special events.

Central Location for Information – Information about the Chamber, the community and area tourist attractions are kept on hand in the village office.
