Committee Reports

Taste of the Town- Keith will have a budget recap next month once he has finished paying the expenses. Becca will be sending an email via Chamber Chatter wrapping up the Taste of the Town, she is going to explain why we decide to have the Taste of the Town when we do. The ticket giveaway online was shared by 160 people and we received 100 new likes in the past couple weeks. A survey will be sent out to the vendors to get their future suggestions.

Lemonade Stand – Chairman Angie Lefeld has been in contact with Phi Beta Sorority and Elaine Eichenauer to get our shift schedule the same as theirs. The plan is to open the stand at 1 PM on Saturday and 3 PM on Sunday. Angie will have a schedule she will pass around at our next meeting for shifts to work.

Parade – Kylie Lange is going to see if the Kenn-Feld Group would be willing to donate a gator for us to drive in the parade. Angie & Becca believe they could get some kids willing to walk in the parade handing out promotional Chamber items. Considering handing out lip balm, sunscreen or other items Totally Promotional/Liz recommend. Will discuss it more at our next meeting.

Old Business

Gift Certificates – The survey information that was sent out regarding the gift certificates has been compiled. 14 people said yes, 12 said no and 5 were undecided on keeping the gift certificates around. For now, we are going to keep doing them but may let all the vendors know if someone comes in with one, they have the option to give them change back in their own gift certificate for their place of business.

Leadership Class – Liz Wenning will be filling out a form and going to the leadership class for the Chamber. We will be doing a raffle to send another representative.  Becca will be sending an email to members on how to participate in the raffle.

Cancer Screenings – This was held last month at Mercer Health. The Chamber advertised and supported it by handing out “Lip Balm”. Angie Lefeld reported about 14 people came and got screened, which was a good number for the time it was open.

Leadership in Action Award – A high school student was submitted by Chief’s Supermarket to receive the award for this quarter.

New Business

Chamber Chatter – Becca will be sending meeting minutes via Chamber Chatter. This way we can be sure everyone can read the minutes.

President Angie Lefeld adjourned the meeting at 8:22 AM. The motion to end the meeting was approved by Brittany Albers and seconded by Sher Stahl.
